Our Eight-Week Swing Dance Class is designed specifically for absolute beginners! You truly need no prior dance experience to join us. We start right from the very basics, with plenty of constant, patient repetition, ensuring you feel completely comfortable learning each move.

We guide you step-by-step, making sure everything clicks. We teach in a way that's easy to follow, just like we're teaching to a kindergartner. Think of us as your 'two left feet' doctors – we're here to help you every step of the way, and we guarantee you'll have so much fun!

Adults and Teens are welcome! Tired of staying home, wondering what there is to do? Get ready to transform your evenings! This swing dance class is your passport to an exciting social life! You'll dance with different partners in every lesson, making it easy and fun to meet new people.

You'll learn to dance, and connect with new people every lesson by dancing with different partners, and discover a fun, active way to build your social circle.

Ready to learn swing? My Eight-Week Beginner Swing Dance Class is designed for complete newcomers – no dance experience needed! Even if you've never danced before, you'll find this course incredibly enjoyable and straightforward. I ensure a comfortable learning environment where the pace is always just right – we'll never rush, and we'll only move forward when you've mastered each step.

This class is cumulative: every week builds on the last, reviewing previous moves and adding new ones to create a full routine. By constantly reinforcing what you've learned, you'll develop a solid foundation and feel completely confident on the dance floor after just eight weeks!

After completing our beginner class, you can take our Eight-Week Intermediate Classes to continue learning more advanced moves.

Swing Dance Styles

Swing Dance Styles

In the Beginner class, you learn the basic Jitterbug, Whip, and Charleston. These three dances make up what is called Lindy Hop Swing. These are the styles you see in movies when dancers are swing dancing to big band music. We begin with Savoy Style Lindy, and then in the Advanced class we learn Smooth Style Lindy. All the Swing dance styles are interchangeable while you're dancing. These terms will make a lot more sense after you take the class and you learn the dance moves. In the meantime, all you have to know is that you are going to have a lot of fun and you will learn to dance really well.

This is an eight week cumulative class. We learn one new move each week, and incorporate all the moves into a routine which we practice each week, training your muscle memory so you learn the dance moves and so they stick. There are no "drop-ins" and no "dance cards". You register (below) and pay for the full eight week class. If you miss a lesson, there is no refund for that lesson, you simply attend the next lesson, where we will begin by reviewing the previous week's dance move in detail, so missing a lesson will not be a problem. Most people usually miss a lesson due to scheduling conflicts, and they pick it right back up the next week - this is normal.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing to class.  We recommend not wearing jeans, as jeans are thick and you may become uncomfortable and hot throughout the class.  Shoes Ladies: please wear flat-bottomed shoes, and do not wear high-heals.  It is difficult to Swing Dance in high-heals
